Armand I. Judah
Armand I. Judah has been engaged in the general practice of law for over 34 years. He has broad experience in all facets of family law, divorce, custody, criminal law, personal injury, probate, business law, and general litigation. Mr. Judah practices law in state and federal courts.
Mr. Judah practices in Family Court, and he is well-versed in all aspects of family litigation, including divorce, custody, visitation, adoption, and child support. Mr. Judah is also a trained and experienced mediator and is appointed by the court to mediate in many Family Court cases. Mr. Judah applies his experience as a mediator by bringing his negotiation skills to use in his own cases. Mr. Judah’s responsibilities as a court-appointed attorney for children in dependency/neglect/abuse cases gives him an extra advantage in handling Family Court cases, as he has a true understanding of the Family Court dynamic and how family issues affect children.
During the course of his career, Mr. Judah has been involved in numerous cases which are complex in nature, including the criminal trial of the Hell’s Angels before the United States District Court. In addition to his private criminal practice, Mr. Judah is appointed by the court, under the Criminal Justice Act, to represent indigent defendants in federal court. Mr. Judah has represented individuals in all forms of criminal cases, from traffic court to white collar crime to murder.
Mr. Judah’s business law practice has been instrumental in providing legal expertise in all aspects of the development and maintenance of numerous area businesses, from the creation of the corporation through business litigation.
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Judah has served as volunteer legal counsel for the Louisville Jaycees, the Kentucky Jaycees, and the J. Graham Brown School. Mr. Judah has shared his knowledge as an adjunct professor at the University of Louisville Paralegal Studies Program, Sullivan College Paralegal Institute, and Watterson College Business School. Mr. Judah is a frequent guest lecturer at continuing education seminars for attorneys. Mr. Judah’s experience as an attorney for children serves him well in his volunteer position on the Program Services Committee at the Home of the Innocents.
Mr. Judah has been a sole practitioner for most of his legal career. In 2010, Mr. Judah earned a LEO Weekly Magazine Readers’ Choice Award for Best Attorney, and Judah Law Offices placed in the Top 3 Law Firms in that poll. Mr. Judah has been a member of Frockt & Klingman and of Goldberg Simpson law firms.
